API Task Force
The Washington State API Hepatitis B Task Force was developed in 1997 as a statewide initiative, working to raise awareness about hepatitis B and the impact of the infection and disease in the API community. The Task Force is a network of community partners supported by DOH and Within Reach.

Illinois Perinatal Hepatitis B Prevention Program
The primary objective of the Illinois State Perinatal Hepatitis B Program is to prevent the acquisition of hepatitis B virus infection by at-risk infants born to hepatitis B surface antigen-positive women. The program does this by promoting and ensuring routine maternal screening and birth dose vaccination policies in all 108 birthing hospitals in downstate Illinois. Reviewed 9/6/07

New Hampshire Perinatal Hepatitis B Prevention Program
This program provides thorough perinatal hepatitis B program coverage for HBsAg-positive pregnant women, their babies, and their sex and household contacts. Education of the hospital staff is also a focus of this program. Posted 6/27/07

New Mexico Hepatitis Prevention Program
Provides viral hepatitis testing and prevention activities at all state public health STD clinics and syringe exchange sites. Since 2006, an extensive perinatal education program has been in place. Reviewed 7/10/08

North Dakota (ND) Perinatal Hepatitis B Program
North Dakota describes their perinatal hepatitis B prevention program and provides contact information for interested users. Reviewed 9/11/08

Perinatal Hepatitis B Program (Massachusetts)
Perinatal hepatitis B prevention program for HBsAg positive pregnant women, their infants and household contacts. Posted (4/5/08)

Rhode Island Perinatal Hepatitis Prevention Program
The program provides multiple services for Hepatitis B virus (HBV) and Hepatitis C virus (HCV) –positive pregnant women and new mothers. Posted 1/11/07

Viral Hepatitis Services within the Community Immunization Services of Palm Beach County Health Department
Palm Beach County FL offers a perinatal hepatitis B program and an adult hepatitis B program in various venues within the county. Posted 4/4/08

Washoe County District Health Department Perinatal Hepatitis B Prevention Program

The Seattle STD/HIV Prevention Training Center and the University of Washington announced the release of Hepatitis Web Study, a website designed for healthcare workers who provide clinical care to persons with viral hepatitis. This project was funded by CDC's Division of Viral Hepatitis. The website features:

  1. Fourteen interactive, clinically-relevant case studies, each with a discussion, high quality illustrations and graphics, and links, that highlight and illustrate key recommendations from national guidelines;
  2. Free continuing education credits, including an easy way to print CME/CNE documentation and an electronic CE tracker;
  3. Numerous high quality figures that the user can easily download into PowerPoint slides;
  4. Reference linked to Pub Med abstracts, federal guidelines sites, and/or CDC MMWR documents.
